Our trio has been together now for 8 months, and I think we've developed a unique approach to free improv: We allow each piece to take off and go in a variety of directions, but at the same time, we often begin with a certain concept in mind - peaceful, intense, tonal, atonal.

Greg Mills has been such an inspiring duo partner over the past 4 or 5 years, and now Glen "Papa" Wright is pushing our music to a new level!

Fred Tompkins St Louis, Missouri

Fred Tompkins completed his early studies of music in St. Louis but lived in NYC from '72-'90 where he wrote and recorded compositions for a wide variety of small ensembles to include Elvin Jones, David Liebman, Richard Davis and many other great musicians.

Interested in forging his own style of jazz/classical synthesis, he also wrote vocal works to poetry by Keats, Dickinson & Michael Castro. ... more
